Students will have the opportunity to utilize bouncy bands, finger focus highlighters, stools, and wiggle feet during classroom instruction to help maintain engagement, focus, and on-task behaviors verses being removed from class or disengaged. Being in a correctional setting, students have little to no resources compared to what they would have in a traditional public school. Providing a positive physical outlet for overactive students will help keep their minds in motion with their bodies. The most challenging students will have access to simple tools to help them reach their educational goals.
