This project will give me tools to use with students who are having a difficult time regulating their emotional states. I work with students whose sensory systems are dis-regulated, so tools like the body sox and weighted turtle can help them calm down. I also work with groups of students and LEGO bricks are a great tool to get students to work together to come to a common goal. My students need extra support in regulating their emotional states, and I will use the fidget tools to help them in their general education environments so they can stay and learn instead of leaving the classroom.
