Currently, my students have outdated technology to use in the media center. This puts my students at a technological disadvantage in terms of gaining 21st century technology skills to use during their educational journey. In our media center, these Chromebooks will allow for a technology and research center where students can learn and refine computer etiquette and research techniques. Digital citizenship and literacy are important aspects for students in today's world and having current technology to teach these skills to students will be extremely beneficial. In addition to digital citizenship and literacy, students will also be able to use the Chromebooks for activities that can enhance their math and reading skills. Students love to use technology, and the Chromebooks provided by this project are the perfect way to assist them in learning and to help them get excited about learning technological skills.
