The very first thing we learned as babies and small children is to interact emotionally and socially. We first learn what it takes to socialize with our caregivers first, then we are exposed to ways of socializing in a setting outside our normal environment. With the utilization of social media on the rise, as human's we do not know what it means to be social with other human's when face to face with them. The only interactions human's are faced with is on a screen, big or small. The items I pick will help me teach the students how to socialize effectively by forming connections and being honest with their emotions. I want to provide a safe space for students to connect to themselves and to others as they build social-emotional skills. I want to provide students with a daily opportunity to identify how they are feeling and work through any challenge or obstacle they may be facing.
