These items will be in our Zones Room and used in school counseling student sessions. All students are able to come to the Zones Room to use tools to help them regulate their bodies and emotions so they are able to return to class ready to learn. The Zones Room was created using the philosophies of Zones of Regulation and Conscious Discipline. When a student is experiencing an emotional moment, they can go to their safe zone in their classrooms to self-regulate. If a student is unable to regulate themselves back to “green” (ready to learn), they can ask for a Zones Room pass. When in the Zones Room students are provided adult support and provided tools, such as the items I am requesting, to assist in regulating their bodies back to the green zone (ready to learn).
