My students love to read and nothing is more exciting than reading in book clubs with your friends. While in book clubs, students create plans and set goals, discuss books and then will create book reviews using an iMovie- like program. Having a variety of books for students to choose from is both exciting and motivating. They crave new books and as soon as they are done with one, they are ready to choose more! Student interests vary therefore, it's important to me, to provide a variety of books for them. Students are much more engaged and motivated to read when reading with friends. Their discussions are more authentic and deeper!
