These manipulates will beneficial for my students who struggle with the basic concepts of letter sounds, long and short vowels, blends and digraphs. Also, several of my students struggle with the basic understanding of place value. Therefore, these items will help put emphasis on these skills to help my students advance further in reading and math. The Letter Sound Tubs (alphabet, vowels, blends and digraphs) will help student sort various objects into the correct containers in which each lessons focus is on. The Place Value manipulates will allow students to have a visual to understand concepts such as bundling and breaking apart when adding and subtracting with regrouping.
