The donations of this project will provide my students with hands-on learning. Reading our textbook is great but learning by “experiencing” makes it even better. These various items will allow my students to use their creativity and explore different types of designing using multiple manipulatives. They can use these items individually or in a group setting. With the Newton’s Law STEM boxes my students can observe the effects of kinetic and potential energy and see first-hand how energy is transformed from one form to the other. The K’Nex set will allow them to get those creative juices flowing as they create masterpieces of their imagination. Finally, with alternative energy playing such a pivotal role, there is no better time than now to start children on the path to learning basic concepts behind these technologies. These robot kits will do just that.
