Scholastic Action magazines are a great source of reading materials. They include fictional stories as well as nonfiction artcles. These magazines will be used in my class to help students increase such reading skills as comprehension, the acquisition of new vocabulary terms, and learning how to read nonfiction articles. I will also use them to provide additional supplemental resources for special education students who need reading remediation. Once we are done with the magazine at school students will be allowed to take them home to share with family and friends.
