Pineapple Cove is a Classical school on the east coast of Florida. We focus on teaching virtues within our curriculum. These virtues include: courage, courtesy, honesty, perseverance, self-government, and service. Within the curriculum, these virtues are discussed daily. Scholars are taught the importance of demonstrating these virtues. Within History and Literature, students are exposed to a variety of stories and events that help to guide their character. The classroom is a traditional format with all students facing front. I do much of my instruction whole group. However, I do work at my back table to provide differentiated instruction, especially with reading. My students are on a variety of levels in regards to their foundational skills. Providing small group instruction to help enrich or support the scholars allows all of them to reach their potential.
