My school is a Title 1 district and every student receives free lunch. The headphones available for classroom use are old and broken. My students are learning English as a second language and listening is a major component of language acquisition. These headsets will allow my students to work on interactive websites with confidence. The students can also use the headsets to watch videos to build background knowledge. They can even use them to practice English pronunciation or learn new vocabulary. With new headsets the students will no longer have to share one ear bud each or use broken outdated headsets.
