It is imperative for students to begin investing in their future as early as possible. Many of our students are considered at-risk and have never left the city of Valdosta. By visiting Georgia Southern University at Savannah, students will get an in-depth understanding of college which would hopefully lead them to create career goals as well as motivate them to excel in school. Additionally, students will tour the historic city of Savannah viewing sights such as the World War II memorial. This project will fund our overnight hotel stay. The object of the trip is to teach young girls that no matter what they face, they can be successful; they do not have to be a prisoner of their circumstances nor do they have to let society define who they are. Instead, they can get a firsthand experience of who they can become. We are building future leaders!
