Flexible seating allows students to be fully engaged in their learning. During independent work time, students have the choice to work at various locations in the room. Students also have the choice of sitting on different kinds of chairs or on the floor. Allowing students to choose where to work allows them to feel comfortable in the classroom and reduces distractions. Students show improved focus and produce their best work when they are able to take ownership of their learning environment. The exercise balls I have selected will allow my students to have additional seating options and will allow them to sit at their table with productive movement. This will greatly benefit my students and their learning!
