My students currently have to read at their desks. I would love for them to have a comfortable, inviting area where they want to go to read. I hope this motivates them to want to come to class and put in time reading their books. Many of my students have trouble focusing and are often distracted during reading time. Hopefully these new seats will help them stay focused and want to read. My students often don’t have a quiet place at home to read and I want to create an environment in my classroom that promotes active reading and a safe place for them to learn.
