The listening center will be extremely beneficial to my student's reading center time. Each and every one of my students loves listening to a read aloud, so them being able to hold the book, look at the pictures closely, and turn each page all while listening to it being read, will be extremely satisfying for them. This listening center will be used during reading for center time and also as an early finisher activity. During center time, the students are in groups of 3-4 learning together and playing together. With this center, they will each be able to learn and teach each other how to handle a book, how to recognize words, and to see how words correlate with the pictures. They can in turn, use that information and apply it to our daily writing journals where the students have to write sentences and match their sentences with their picture.
