The kit that I am requesting will give my students a better understanding in many science areas. Teaching 5th graders about mass, volume, and the temperature of matter can be challenging at times. Students also have a difficult time grasping some of these concepts. With this kit, students will get to conduct experiments in a small groups. By donating, you will be helping my students to increase their knowledge of weights and measurements. They will be able to use the balances, mass sets, dual-scale measuring tapes, and thermometers to observe and measure properties of materials. Having these hands on opportunities will allow my students to make connections, improving learning.
