Students at GUECLC will all benefit from these sensory mat to engage their senses while enjoying a book, listening to a story, and throughout their learning day. The mats will give them the opportunity to relax and have a calming sensation that is needed by so many preschool students. They will love the sensory input on their hands and their feet while they interact with the mat. What a wonderful place for teachers to work with students using their skills to calm their bodies and to use their breathing strategies. The purposes for this soothing experience are exponential and will be a valuable resource for all teachers working on literacy, science, or social-emotional skills.
