Our district went 1:1 with Chromebooks during the pandemic, and students stayed home for an entire year. Now, we are back in the building and students need to use their devices to engage with all the wonderful digital curriculum, assessments, and content that has been built. This project will provide each Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade classroom with a class set of computer mice. Since our new Chromebooks are not touchscreen, our youngest students are finding it difficult to engage in the interactive lessons that include tracing letters, spelling, sorting, solving equations, etc. that require use of the trackpad. Giving each scholar a mouse will help them gain digital literacy skills while learning the content-- the goal of technology integration!
