My students love to read books and engaging with text! However, since many of them have recently moved here from a Spanish speaking country they are still learning the foundational skills of reading. These skills include the alphabet, phonological awareness, phonics, high-frequency words, and fluency. Reading Rods Phonemic Awareness Kit, Word Building Kit and Sentence Building Kit will help my students master these necessary skills. My students will benefit from learning these skills through hands-on activities! This kit will allow students to manipulate sounds to make words. Once they have mastered this skill they will then learn the foundational phonics skills to be able to build sentences using all parts of speech to enhance their writing. My students want to progress and become better readers and writers and I want to supply them with the necessary tools they need to be successful!
