The attached games will be used during the intervention times to help students practice the comprehension skills being taught in the weekly lessons. They will also be used to enrich the vocabulary of students who are lacking connections to prior knowledge and experiences. Without these practical application sessions the skills students are learning will not become automatic for them. With the skill cards the students will be able to select practice passages to read based on their area of interest. The games will be used in the Reading Lab with small groups of students from different grade levels at different skill levels.
