There are so many fun and creative things for students to be able to experience in Physical Education class. Physical Education is more than just throwing balls out on a court and students having a free for all. The OPEN Locomotor and Manipulative Curriculum does a marvelous job of using various pieces of equipment and using them in an involved, active, exciting way. Students are able to use equipment like pool noodles to play a variety of games that help develop manipulative abilities, locomotor abilities, self-awareness and self-reflection, and social connections with peers in their class. The equipment purchased would be used along with equipment that I currently have in order to implement the OPEN Curriculum for Locomotor and Manipulatives. I would also be able to use the equipment to help implement other curriculums that are designed by US Games and OPEN.
