We are developing an in class program to work on self-regulation for students. We need folders for each student to keep their materials in. They will be learning about how to work through their emotions. The photo library will help them relate their emotions with the pictures. The colors helps our students describe their mood and use self-regulation strategies. We will be making posters as a class to represent each mood/color combination. The visuals will help the students identify and remember the terms. Because anger is the most difficult emotion to regulate, we will use the book When Sophie Gets Mad as a class read aloud.
