In my special education classroom, my students often find it difficult to remain in their seats for extended periods of times. This project will provide my students the opportunity to improve their attention and focus skills with an effective method of fidgeting - Bouncy Bands for Desks. These Bouncy Bands will make a difference for my students' learning because it will allow them to be "on the move" while stationary in their seats for taking notes and listening to instruction. Sitting in the same seat all day long is difficult for any middle school student. The lap desks will make a big different because my kids love working on the floor. The lap desks will make this an option and give them the ability to work neatly. This project will provide my students with alternative flexible seating.
