These books will be used in individual book baskets for students. Students will have the opportunity to pick books on their level in order to read during independent and partner reading time. These books will be picked by the students so they are able to have just right books of their choice in order to read. Students are more likely to read when they have a choice in what they will read and they are excited about learning! Skills and strategies that are taught during mini-lessons will be practiced using these books during workshop time. These books will be rotated weekly and used by the whole class!
