These materials will help my students identify with the characters in literature while developing social skills and engage in thoughtful discussion. These books will help my students learn how to positively build their own communities, develop empathy for others and support their own identities. They can regain a love for reading which is often lost within the pressures of testing. My students will strengthen their own reading skills by listening to fluent reading, engaging in meaningful conversations about books, strengthen their comprehension skills all while identifying with the characters in the books whose life experiences are similar to their own.

About my class
