My students have had very limited training with and access to technology up to this point. While my students do well with their academic studies, they are at a huge disadvantage when compared to students from schools who do have 1-1 technology. Some of my students do not know how to type because they have not had opportunities in school to learn how to. Funding this project would help bring my students one step closer to being competitive and effective candidates for their future endeavors. In addition to helping develop basic computer skills, the availability of eight Chromebooks in my classroom will help students to conduct independent research and learn best internet practices.
