I teach World History/Social Studies to more than 200 sixth grade students every semester. We use a "time machine" and travel to ancient times, visiting Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. We travel again to the Middle Ages to experience a world of knights & kings, the Crusades, the Black Death and finally, the Renaissance. We travel to the modern world of Industrialization, world wars and the Great Depression. Through it all we learn what civilizations must have to survive and why some thrived and others did not. We learn about humanity's greatest achievements and and some of its greatest failures so far.

About my class
