Our school is currently listed as a Title I school in Dekalb County School District. A Title I, Elementary holds high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families. Though our students come from low income families they are scholars. The community can aid and help to ensure that all our young scholars meet challenging state academic standards through giving students access to technology. Technology can be used to provide support for through various websites such as abcya, abcmouse as well as other various websites that support students learning of literature. Learning not only takes place with a teacher providing a lesson in the front of the class but also through different experiences. Our students are scholars that will benefit from leaving the four walls of the classroom and using technology such as chromebooks to access English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science Standards to life. Our kindergarten scholars will be able to use the technology of the Chromebooks to put into practice and support our young which can open doors to endless possibilities which they can apply as they mature.
