I have chosen two types of building projects to fit the needs of my diverse special education students. There is a STEAM kit linked to literacy which would allow greater connection to well loved stories, using STEM concepts to engage critical thinking and build vocabulary for extended writing projects. In addition to literacy I would like to offer my inquisitve special education students a way to explore some basic engineering concepts while constructing three dimensional models that will support growth in their fine motor and visual perceptual skills as as well as give them an experience they can write about and share.
