I am middle school special education teacher who works with students in math, science, ELA, and social studies. We have a block of time in the morning to work on a specialized area of concentration. I have chosen to focus on STEM education. The students I am working with are very creative and would absolutely love the opportunity to build with LEGOS and incorporate robotics in their lessons. LEGOS provide the means for a student to learn through investigation, imagination, and discovery while building their self-esteem and inspiring leadership skills. Students can collaborate in making their projects with the resources available to make their learning experience rewarding. Curriculum standards are covered in STEM education with LEGO sets. Mindstorms Ev3 would be an amazing set for middle school students to challenge them in creating products that address real-life problems and possible solutions. My students (and I) will be very thankful and excited if they were given this gift for their classroom!
