Our team has been doing a lot of work around finding diverse literature that complements each of our curricular areas of study. Our goal is to integrate diverse texts seamlessly into the curriculum; we want our students to be exposed to authors, illustrators, characters, and settings that open their mind to a more global perspective and help them understand the world both within and outside of their immediate communities. We are hoping to purchase several books in each subject area to add to our growing multicultural libraries including Our Favorite Day of the Year, by A.E. Ali; Boxitects, by Kim Smith; The Proudest Blue, by Ibtihaj Muhammad; A Year Full of Celebrations and Festivals, by Claire Grace; Mirror, by Jeannie Baker; How to Write A Story, by Kate Messner; Round is a Mooncake, by Roseanne Thong; Round is a Tortilla, by Roseanne Thong; Jabari Tries, by Gaia Cornwall; In the Garden, by Emma Giuliani
