My students are a variety of ages (3-5) and at very different stages in their learning. This means that I need to be able to provide them with a wide variety of materials and learning opportunities to fit their different needs. My classroom was developed as a way to allow students from this under-served neighborhood to attend a public Montessori magnet school. As a Montessori classroom, my students should be using Montessori materials to add to their learning. However, we do not have very many of these materials. Montessori materials for math and literacy will aid in my students' comprehension and understanding. The fine motor materials will help to teach them life skills and aid in their ability to write. The CD player will replace our broken one. This will allow my students to use my extensive collection of books on CD. They will be able to follow along with the book during their learning center time.
