I chose an erosion table where the student can view how water affects nearby land. They will not be able to see the effects of water but design new ways to conserve the land nearby and prevent erosion. The students will be able to view erosion of a river system and how it impacts the nearby land and biotic organisms. After students view the problem of erosion, they will be able to problem-solve ways to correct issues that environmentalists deal with concerning damaging nearby ecosystems, biotic and abiotic factors within the ecosystems and consequences that might arise in the near future. By giving the student this hands on experience, it will become a real issue. The students will be able to hypothesis solutions and explore different outcomes.
