My students need activities that take them out of traditional textbooks and classroom practices. They need to see the connection between what is being taught and how it relates to their life and future. The students can't do it on their own. They need guidance in thinking outside the box and working collaboratively with peers. This project will fund materials to foster creativity, collaboration and ingenuity. My students will use the OzoBots purchased in this grant to learn coding principals. They will then use the coding principals to create stories, games, secret codes and robotic equations. The students will be able to connect their OzoBot to a Chromebook and watch the bot move using the code. Students will collaborate to make the code better each time.
