This project is designed to provide my smaller students with age appropriate instruments that they can play with and experience the sounds with as we learn about the art of sound. The project is requestung rhythm sticks and orher rhythm instruments. The hope is that the students will benefit from hands-on practice with the instruments and it will create greater understanding of the importance of music. The students need instruments in the classroom in order to be successful in music. It is unfortunate that the items that we do have access to are old, worn and plain old unwanted by the children. I have high hopes of getting a new guitar, violin, drums, a keyboard and more for them in the future.
