We are all unique and our learning styles are too! Flexible seating promotes everyone! We have experienced a few types of flexible seating such as a donated ottoman and floor chairs, but funding is limited in our rural, Title I school district. We are hoping to add Wobble chairs and Wobble cushions to engage our core muscles while also actively engaging in our lessons. Students are also asking for large pillows to use during independent reading, a favorite of each day! Through flexible seating, my students are empowered to take ownership of their learning. We are a Leader In Me school and concentrate on the 8 habits of highly effective individuals. The leaders in our room are able to be proactive and choose the best spot during the day. We are beginning with the end in mind and know that in order to reach our goals it starts with a great plan. Please synergize with our classroom and invest to empower my students to learn, have fun, take risks, and never give up!
