My students need headphones to use during STEM outdoor adventures. My school is working on STEM certification so my 4th grade students code weekly and love the opportunity to explore various programs. These tablets and headphones would support students who love coding and math but don't have the materials they need to be great. Our school's goal is to support and encourage students to create quality STEM projects while practicing empathy, creativity, and perseverance. My students communicate their ideas and build each week in STEM using the Engineering Process. My fourth grade class will be using the tablets in groups during our common outdoor adventures. The groups have to make observations and record their findings. They are coding and solving problems while using grade level math concepts. My students need working headphones that are durable and easy to handle. The twenty headphones will support my students' ability to focus on a task and solve a problem. Students engage in coding activities that challenge their learning. Each child has a device and can collaborate with a peer for assistance. However, we do not have enough headphones for every child. This donation will allow my students to work independently to complete a goal.
