Do you sit all day in chair at work? When you come home from work, do you enjoy relaxing in a comfortable chair? Many of our students sit all day at a desk/chair with a hard back and when they come to the Library, they sit at another desk with hard chair. Our Elementary Library does not have many flexible seating options for our students. When students come into the Library with their class to read, check out books, and collaborate on projects, everyone argues over who can sit in one of the six gamer chairs that are reserved for our Middle School/High School students. We need comfortable and versatile seating, such as bean bags, bean bag chairs, wobble chairs, and a new rug for story time to give our Elementary students choice. When students are comfortable, they are better able to relax and learn. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Please help me give them that option.
