In our class, creativity is a priceless resource that I feel I must tap into. My students are always eager to learn and show their creativity in many different ways. The Draw and Write journals and art supplies that I have requested will be used to channel the special talents that my students possess. One way that the journals and art supplies can be used is by having my students brainstorming and writing about different animals. Once that is done, I will have my students draw that animal in their habitat, and then present it to the class. My students are always excited to show off their writing, reading, and art skills, and they love using different art supplies such as stickers, paint, glitter, and markers to make their art come to life. Combining art with writing keeps my students engaged and excited to complete the work. I am always looking for ways to make even the most mundane tasks one that allows my students to showcase their writing and artistic abilities. These tools will empower my students to combine both writing and art for a multimodal learning experience that will keep them engaged and excited about learning.
