I am a Title I interventionist and Special Education teacher working with elementary students who need additional support in reading and other academic areas. I serve students performing below grade level, including those with disabilities and those at risk who need early intervention. My classroom is a small group, supportive environment where students receive explicit instruction in reading, including decoding, fluency, and word recognition, as well as support in other subjects. While I teach in small groups, my paraprofessionals and I support students across the school. Many students need extra time, repetition, and structured support to build skills and confidence. My students are hardworking and eager to learn. With the right support, they make meaningful progress and grow into confident learners.
