My students have a difficult time sitting at uncomfortable desks the entire day. This new furniture would provide them with several different seating options. Many students in my class have attention problems or are on the Autism Spectrum. Giving them an outlet to move and work comfortably will help them focus more on the lesson and help eliminate behavior issues that arise by allowing them to change seating more flexibility. My students focus more when they are able to move and work in a comfortable position. Currently, they find ways to move that seem so uncomfortable. I have students that choose to sit hunched over on the floor, other students pace in the back of the room, and one student even found an old wobbly chair in the back of the room to utilize. These students are amazing individuals. When my project is funded, my classroom will be more comfortable. My students will thrive while working together and independently.
