My students are very visual and auditory learners. We use music for many different activities as well as to begin and end the class. Music helps keep the students more energetic and engaged in physical activities. We also have an annual field day which is usually outside and we currently have no way to play music during that fun day!! Keeping the students engaged is so much easier when music is playing. Who doesn't like some good tunes while working out! I teach all students in my school and many times with nonverbal students they respond well to activities with the music.
