Print is everywhere! My goal this year is to weave literacy in all areas of my content area of Social Studies. I am currently trying to develop a curriculum that will both meet the needs of all the levels in my classroom while engaging their interest as well. Aside from the classroom library that I hope you will help me create, I am also planning on supporting my weaker students to plug in their decoding and comprehension gaps with the Wilson Program. In addition I am developing lessons that incorporate different modalities including hands-on projects and technology. The ultimate goal is to create a safe environment where students feel successful in order to create life-long learners and ultimately leaders.
