We will use these materials for math centers, partner work, and small group time to help students build number sense and number fluency. Additionally, these materials will be used to create Math Busy Boxes for use when students finish their work early. Through hands-on activities, this project will allow students the opportunity to physically experience math. This project will give my students a variety of ways to learn and experience math in a way that makes sense to them. In order to build number-sense, Kindergarten students need hands-on, concrete activities. These materials will help students visualize, manipulate, and make connections to math.
