I am a special education teacher who teaches in a second grade inclusion classroom that includes three students who are Autistic. These students need the use of computers to read, reread, study, restudy, and practice skills that the other students are able to quickly grasp yet causes them to struggle. It breaks my heart to see these students struggle to learn. I believe in these students! I KNOW that with the right materials they are capable of phenomenal accomplishments. It is very satisfying to see these students learn something new. A computer is just the ticket to allow my Autistic students to practice at a comfortable pace suited to their personal needs.
