This year I was given a group of students who are truly in love with the arts. Many doubted their skills to find that they had a natural love for the arts as well as the arts love them. One student told her pee that she would love to learn calligraphy because it looks so beautiful. I pondered at the thought and then decided I would love to give them an experience that can last a life time to teach the dying art. It is unheard of in the public school system to teach calligraphy. Having this opportunity to bring this innovative calligraphy art to my classroom would be amazing. Students can utilize this skill for life and enjoy the art years after graduating from high school would be rewarding.
