Using craft materials like rulers and chipboard in my classroom allows students to develop their math, engineering, science, and architecture skills through creating models of of their designs. Hands-on helps link a variety of concepts. Building models helps students bring their ideas into reality while building their understanding of real world math, engineering, and architecture concepts we are studying. Modeling also helps students develop problem-solving skills, perseverance, and the ability to reflect on their own work. By developing these skills students connect what they are learning to the real world and understand the importance of academic success for their future.

About my class
