Our students enjoy looking at books in the Library Center; however, adding the Amazon Fire Tablets and QR story codes to the center will enable the students to not only enjoy looking at books but also having them read to the them making it an interactive experience. Children take great pleasure in listening to stories. Listening Centers provide opportunities for children to hear multiple fluent readers read stories to them. They also enhance listening skills which are important for learning to read. Students will not only learn to read for pleasure but also pick up valuable skills such as narrative structure, unique language use, and new vocabulary. The Tuff Charging Station will allow students easy access to the tablets to use with QR story codes. The charging station will also help students to keep the tablets safe and charged when not in use.
