My students will have more opportunities to meet the National Core Art Standards with ukulele instruments. My students will be able to make music collectively as a class. Many other classrooms in our district practice music as a whole group, and I think my students should be using this approach. I would like to share with my students my Orff training, and start teaching them string instruments. My students love to learn and are very engaged in almost any lesson. I know that these ukuleles will excite my students and help make them better musicians. With these ukuleles, I can open up my class to many different activities and lessons. I am excited for the students to learn to play and compose their own music!
