One goal I strive for in my classroom is to ensure students feel safe, secure and comfortable. When students feel safe and comfortable achievement increases. The materials I’m requesting in this project will help make our classroom a more comfortable learning environment. Like so many kids, my students are busy bodies, therefore the wobble stools will allow my students to move, but also continue learning. I have found my students are more successful when they have an option to move while they work. Also, in requested are floor seats for my students to work more comfortably. Giving my students options for seating, where they sit, having the option to move while working will make all the difference. Many of my students are social learners. They learn through interaction. Others are independent learners who thrive working in a quiet environment. The noise cancelling headphones will create a quiet environment for my students who thrive independently and maybe overwhelmed by noise of our busy classroom.
